THE SEAGATE - Your Premium Stay in Appledore, Devon

The Seagate has 17 bedrooms: 10 sit above the pub and 7 occupy the converted sail loft on The Quay, a 2-minute walk away. The Snug is a single-occupancy room on the 2nd floor with an ensuite bathroom, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a dedicated working space. Comfy rooms and Comfy (Sea View) rooms accommodate two guests, while Feature Comfy rooms are the largest and include sea views, space for cots, sofa beds, and space for a doggy bed; all rooms come with an over-flowing snacks basket.

Breakfast is served from 7.30am on weekdays and 8am on weekends, with a Full Devon breakfast choice and a full continental fare. The Sip, Supper & Snooze package adds dinner on one night and two Lillet Rhubarb Rosé spritz to bed and breakfast; the Stay Longer package covers a three-night stay. The on-site restaurant and bar serves kids' meals and special diet menus, and the bar shows live sport events.

The Seagate sits on The Quay in Appledore, overlooking the Torridge estuary. Crabbing on The Quay, boat trips across to Instow, Hockings ice cream, and cream teas are all outside the front door. Northam Burrows Country Park, Instow Beach, and The Big Sheep Family Attraction are nearby, and the Route 21 bus stops outside the pub every hour with links to Barnstaple, Bideford, Ilfracombe, and Westward Ho!

Family Rooms are available in Feature Comfy and selected Comfy (Sea View) rooms, with cots for children under 2 and fold-out beds for older children. Kids under 2 stay free, and children aged 2 to 16 are charged £15 per night. The pub has kids' meals and board games/puzzles, and family-friendly activities such as crabbing on The Quay and boat trips to Instow are on the doorstep.

Dog-friendly bedrooms provide a doggy bed or blanket, a bowl, and tasty treats, and Feature Comfy rooms have space for a doggy bed or two. The hotel supplies pet baskets and pet bowls, with a Canine Menu Hamper in the room for four-legged guests.
